Tired of Upper Lip hair?

Laser Hair Removal Pre-Treatment

  1. Schedule a consultation with us today
  2. Stop shaving at least 2 days prior to appointment if getting laser hair removal.
  3. Try not to schedule your appointment right before or during your period. Treatment tends to be more painful during this time.
  4. If you are taking antibiotics, we will need to schedule your appointment approximately two weeks after you have finished your medication. Your skin may be unusually sensitive at this time.
  5. If you are using Retin-A, retinols, glycolics, or salicylic acid topicals (such as Pro-Active), you will need to discontinue these products 4-7 days before beginning any hair removal treatments on the face or neck.
  6. Avoid the sun for 4-6 weeks before laser hair removal treatment as well as self-tanning agents, spray tans, tanning beds or any other artificial pigment to the skin.
  7. You MUST avoid bleaching, plucking, or waxing 6 weeks prior to your laser hair removal treatment.
  8. Avoid any irritants to your skin (Retin-A retinol, benzolyl peroxide, glycol/salicylic acids, or astringents) for 1 week before your laser spider vein treatment.
  9. If possible, please do not wear any make up prior to any facial treatments.
  10. One hour before your treatment, take 2 Extra Strength Tylenols to minimize discomfort. To avoid opening of treated veins and significant bruising, do not take aspirin or other anti-inflammatory products or Omega 3, 6, or 9 (fish oil supplements) for 1 week before treatment.
  11. Avoid alcohol for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
  12. If you have had a history of herpes (HSV), prophylactic antiviral therapy may be started the day before treatment and continued one week after treatment.
